Matilda
My title:In the foreward ,Matilda endures. Roald Dahl understood that, above all else, children can't stand being talked down to. They bristle at being lectured, rebel at being offered a moral when they have gone hunting for an adventure. Dahl refused to do that: instead his eyes looked round the corner of the normal into the deeply perculiar. And Matilda is a one- person revolution:her refusal to accept things they way they are make her a king of visionary among children's characters. A desire to take hold of the world and bend it into something brighter , kinder and stranger than the status quo we are offered.

The chalk stopped writing. It hovered for a few momments, the suddenly it dropped to the floor with a tinkle and broke in two. Miss Trunchbull has fallen down! Miss Trunchbull is on the floor!
Ms Phelps as she was filled with wonder and excitment. She informed Matilda that books can be taken out for 2 weeks. Ms Phelps was always sad when it was time to inform Matilda it was time to leave the library.
Mrs and Mr Wormwood as they gave consent for Matilda to live with Miss Honey. Mrs Wormwood said Why don't we let her go if that's wants she wants. It'll be one less to look after.Miss Honey said I would look after her with loving care. Matilda leapt into Miss Honey's arms and hugged her, and Miss Honey hugged her back, and then the mother and father and brother were inside the car and the car was pulling away with the tyres screaming. The brother gave a wave through the rear window. They stood there watching the big black car tearing round the corner at the end of the road and disappearing for ever into the distance.
The Trunchbull, the Headmistress, She was a gigantic holy terror, a fierce tyrannical monster who frightened the life out of the pupils and teachers alike, There was an aura of menance about her even at a distance, and whe she came up close you could almost feel the dangerous heat radiating from her as from a red-hot rod of metal. When she marched - Miss Trunchbull never walked, she always marched like a storm-trooper with long strides and arms aswinging - when she marched along a corridor you could actually hear her snorting as she went. She ploughed right on through them like a tank.
Chokey , a very tall narrow cupboard in the Trunchbull private quarters. The floor is only ten inches square so you can't sit down or squat in it. You have to stand. And three of the walls are made of cement with bits of broken glass sticking out all over, so you can't lean against them. You have to stand more or less at the attention all the time when you get locked up in there. The door's got thou-sands of sharp spiky nails sticking out of it. It's pitch dark.
The Trunchbull caught a boy called Julius Rottwinkle eating Liquorice Allsorts during the scripture lesson and she simply picked him up by one arm and flung him clear out of the open classroom windows. We saw him go sailing out over the garden like a Frisbee and landing with a thump to us and said, From now on, anybody caught eating in class goes straight out the window.
